It is a listed monument right in the centre of Praid, a few minutes' walk from the guesthouses and restaurants.
About the place
The present church was built between 1790 and 1796, but the sanctuary survives from the 15th-century Roman Catholic church. Its white tower with a pointed spire can be seen from much of the village. The listed ensemble includes the church and the wooden gate from 1944.
Praid also has a Roman Catholic church from 1800 and an Orthodox church from 1929. Since September 2021 the central park has had a statue of the poet Áprily Lajos, who spent his childhood in Praid; a memorial house dedicated to him opened in 1991.
